All My Sons

The show was done in Artist Rep small theater, in a semi-round, and it was FANTASTIC. The opening was well done, with a tastefull tackyness. when you walk into the theater, Micheal F.W., who plays the dad in the family is sitting at a plastic deck shair reading the paper and smoking, next to him is a large plate of donuts and orange juice.
When the show begins, so do the characters attitudes. This show is complete with all the typical nieghbors, in Fantasic colorful costumes which show their personality. The doctor next door wears a grey suit, the cooky guy across the street, high socks, cargo shorts, and a hawaiian shirt. The cooky guys wife has over the top cherry red ipstick, and the perfect pretty dress and matching heels to finish it off.
The set was never changed, only shifting props, and an really interesting syc in the back. They used gobos and gels to create a feeling of shifting time by moving the cloud gobos, and saturating the blues in the wash. for darness, they used an amber wash, and an almost black( but still blue) on the layered syc.
The show was really well done, everything was covered and considered down to the smallest detail, and all actors were COMPLETLY committed to their roles, and put forth everything they had into the emotional rollercoaster of a play.
I look forward to many more Artist Rep shows!
