Origins Of Theater
Concept One : Ancient Greek theatre has been fascinating millions of people. Aeschylus, Sophocles, Euripides, Aristophanes and others, have been the teachers of morality, nobleness, courage and patriotism across the centuries. The stories of Oedipus, Medea, Antigone etc, seem to despise the passage of time
Concept Two: French Religious/ Farce Most historians place the origin of medieval drama in the church’s liturgical dialogues and “tropes”. At first simply dramatizations of the ritual, particularly in those rituals connected with Christmas and Easter plays were eventually transferred from the monastery church to the chapter house or refectory hall and finally to the open air, and the vernacular was substituted for Latin.
I find the second idea interesting, because I want to research French religious theater as my research project.

lol, I love how everyone did Greek as one of their examples. Probably because Jane is so crazy about it.
